Suzette and Bethany's Wicked-Awesome-Prizes Contest

Bethany and I have decided to hold a contest, our very first, all in the name of ringing in the New Year. We want to give you a boost toward achieving your dreams!

The Prizes:

2 Query Critiques*
+
2 First Five Page Critiques*
+
1 Inscribed/Autographed The Dark Divine*
_____
5 Winners

To enter this contest there are two things you must do.
  1. Be a follower of this blog (in the sidebar on the right)
  2. Post about this contest on your own blog (not just a mention, an actual post.)
To earn more entries you can do the following:
  • Tweet about the contest with a link to this blog
  • Link to the contest on Facebook or MySpace (i.e. paste it in your status)
  • Mention this contest in a forum (such as Absolute Write or the QueryTracker Forum.)
Here is the address to copy-and-paste to link back to this post: http://suzettesaxton.blogspot.com/2010/01/suzette-and-bethanys-wicked-awesome.html

Then let us know what you've done in the comments of this post so we can get you entered. And be sure to tell us which prize you want to win! (You have one week to enter. Winners announced Monday, January 11, 2010)

We are so excited to be doing this! Please let us know if you have any questions. And check out my uber-fun (and informational!) Top Ten post over on the QueryTracker blog.

Good luck!

Suzy

*All critiques are private and will not be published on this or any blog.

*The Dark Divine is written by Bree Despain and will be inscribed with the winner's name and autographed by Bree on February 13th, and shipped shortly thereafter.

Okay - post about this contest is scheduled to post tomorrow morning. I've 'shared' this on Facebook so it appears on my page, and I'm now following (I thought I already was, go figure!!) the blog. Do I get extra points for following? I'm all about extra points . . . anything to put me ahead of Robyn! Ha!

As for the prize, since I can't win all five . . . five page critique will do just nicely!

S

p.s. If I can figure out how to Tweet the contest I will. I mean, I have a Twitter account, I'm just not much into tweeting!

Suzette Saxton said...

Fabulous! Great to see so many entering.

To Tweet this on Twitter, all you need to do is click on the little green TWEET button at the top of this blog post. It'll walk you through logging into your Twitter account and then automatically tweet it on your behalf. :D

Hmm. My word verification is fuzznmen. Is it telling me something?

Karen Denise said...

You're right, this is a wicked-awesome contest! I've posted a link on my sidebar. Does that count? If not, I'll post about this tomorrow and I'm already a follower.

If I win, I'd like the critique of the first five pages, please. Does it have to be from a completed novel or can it be a wip?

Suzette Saxton said...

Sure, Larissa, we can put you in for Dark Divine with your other entry.

LOL, DL and Deb!

Karen, the link in your sidebar is fine. Your wip does not need to be complete in order to win.

Seriously, everyone, I'm so thrilled to have you joining the contest. This has been such a fun day for me. Every time I open up my email it's like Christmas all over again.

Christine Fonseca said...

Okay - I am blogging about this tomorrow (here's the link - http://christinefonseca.wordpress.com/2010/01/05/contests-contests-contests/), I already follow you, and I'll tweet tomorrow. If I were to win...I would want the book! So FUN!

A great excerpt! Believable characters and though the plot isn't quite discernable in this scene, it feels as if there will be a real good story weaved into it.

A contest with such a valuable prize - I have completed my novel, Unearthing Jev, and the proposal package and would love to have a query critique.

I am a follower and will be linking this contest on my blog (Listen to the Voices) and on facebook.

Thanks and good luck to everyone.
