NEWSFLASH

I'd like to extend a huge CONGRATS to Brendan Deneen, formally of FinePrint Literary. Brendan has accepted a position as an editor at a major publishing house. (Not sure he's announced where yet, though it has been mentioned on the web...) As you may know, Brendan has been my agent these past months. The publishing house is lucky to have him, and I will miss him dearly.

And now for my uber-fabulous news! You've probably noticed I've been a fan of Suzie Townsend's blog for quite some time. (I found it when several of her clients raved about what a fabulous agent she is.) I am pleased to announce that SUZIE IS MY AGENT! I am beyond thrilled, and I look forward to working with her.

I also get to hang with the lovely author/clients who first inspired me to visit her blog. So give them a follow, and be sure to let them know I sent you!

My daughters and I are just sitting down to watch Bride and Prejudice while we (gasp!) quilt. (Next in the line-up is A&E's Pride and Prejudice.) Wish me luck, and have a lovely weekend, everyone!

Congratulations! Sounds very exciting :)

Good luck with the quilt - fixing hems and sewing on buttons stretch my sewing skills to the absolute limit, so I can't even imagine a quilt!

Wow - that's huge news! An agent leaving can be a stressful event and I'm glad it worked out so well. Congrats! Also, I recently found Suzie's blog and I love it.

Glad it worked out so well - it must have been rather stressful, honestly.

(And who knew? I'm repped by Colleen Lindsay over at FPR - guess that makes us client sisters? LOL)

That's great news about your new agent. Congratulations!

Wow, two of my favorite movies of all time. I absolutely love Bride and Prejudice. One question, though: how can you quilt and dance at the same time? Because watching B&P definitely requires you to dance along. You can't just sit there and watch it with all that fantastic music going on!

Enjoy!! (And blow Colin Firth a kiss from me. *sigh*)

I was just looking at his page on their (Fineprint's) website today, how weird is that?!

Congrats! I follow Suzie's blog and hear about her a lot (it seems); she's pretty awesome!

Hope everything works out, and congrats again!! :D

Great news! And, p.s., love Bride and Prejudice. It's the only version I'll watch aside from the A&E one.

Agency sisters, Suzie Sleep-overs, well-wishes galore... I'm so full of bloggy love I could burst!

As always, I love hearing from you and cannot thank you enough for your unfailing support.

Sewing is going... slowly. Probably all that dancing we're doing!

Fantastic news! Congrats! Only great things in store!

I used to quilt with my aunt when I was a youngster. She died a few years ago and that time with her is one of my fondest and most precious memories. How wonderful that you and your daughter have such fun together. How were the movies?
