Big News!!!

At last, the long-awaited news!

Some of you may know that my sister, Bethany Wiggins, writes YA fiction, urban fantasy in particular. She and I started our writing journey together after I heard the most inspiring bit of advice imaginable from Louis Sachar on the bonus features of the Holes DVD.

This is a picture of Bethany and I (she's on the left) at our little sister's wedding reception a few weeks ago. Our brothers-in-law are on the right. My wonderful husband took the picture.

And now, we've decided to join forces and take on another journey together. Blogging. That's right, Bethany has graciously agreed to co-author this blog with me. And who knows - you may see a co-authored book from us before too long!

I've told Bethany of all the wonderful friends I've made while blogging, and she's excited to get to know all of you. Let's extend a warm welcome to her.

And for those of you who don't know, I write books for children of all ages. To see what I write, come visit my website: www.suzettesaxton.us

Dear Suzette,

That is SO exciting! When (and if) I ever get my book with the twin protagonists published, I'm hoping that my twin sister will join forces with me, as well. I've been working on her for the longest time, but I think she's just waiting for me to become a published author before she'll waste her time on me. (just like a lot of other people!)

By the way...would you mind sending your snail-mail address to my email address?
Here's my email address: cyndesgotthewritestuff@gmail.com

(I picked up a little present for you that I saw when my husband and I were out shopping the other day. It's nothing extravagant, but it's "YOU" all over, and I just had to get it for you. You'll probably giggle when you see it, but it's the thought that counts, right?)

Congratulations on your excellent news about you and your sister. (I should have you talk to my sister for me, huh? LOL!) The best to both of you and I know it's going to be great having your sister with you. If she's anything like you, we'll love her, too!

God bless you, Suzette!

That is so exciting! I am collaborating on a screenplay with my younger brother. I love that we get along now that we're adults and can actually work on projects together.

I think collaborative blogging is a long way off for us, though.

Congratulations!

Hi Suzette! I'm so honored that you visited my blog. I look forward to reading more of your posts. I'm trying to sell my first novel, a historical fiction book for middle grade readers. Like you, I just love "meeting" other writers through blogging. I've learned so much and it's wonderful to travel this journey with friends!

Hi ladies!
Maybe this was covered previously and I've missed it, but...
What was the advice that Louis Sachar had to offer? I've never seen Holes.
I constantly have ideas I think would be a good book idea, but I can use all the advice I can get. =/
thanks! Nice blog page

It's so great to meet all you writers! I look forward to getting to know you all.

telecomladyj, I'm glad you asked about the Louis Sachar interview. You've inspired me to write about it, so watch for a future blog post about that very subject.
