Contest News and a Reason to Celebrate!

I'm so very thrilled to see one hundred followers of my blog today! So thrilled, in fact, that my kids and went out to celebrate. We ate at Diamond Grill, which has the most amazing view of Salem Pond (see photo) and went on a flip-flop shopping spree.

Annnnnnnnnd...

I've been working the past couple of days with another agent made of awesome. (Are all agents this fantastic? I haven't met one I don't like.) I can't reveal his identity yet, but I will tell you that another contest is not only in the works, but all set up to be a rollicking good time! It'll be another great chance to showcase your project. I will say, however, that only specific genres will be accepted. So keep an eye out here and on the QueryTracker Blog for the details.

And again, thanks for following me! I've loved getting to know all of you. I've changed my little profile pic that shows me following your blogs to my most favorite painting of all time, Flaming June by Frederick Layton:

Have a good one,

Suzy

Ok, first of all...I am a huge fan and avid supporter of flip-flops. So, any spree involving flip-flops automatically gets two thumbs up, and toes...two big toes (not gross, it's all in the name of flip-flops).

Secondly, if you were thinking of going in the Paranormal Western (or "Weird West") genre direction that'd be cool...just sayin' :)

Yay for flip-flops! Two thumbs up!

Alas, I don't get to choose the genres. It depends on what the agent is looking to represent.

I LOVE that painting! But that's not the whole painting you have shown... It's still beautiful. :)

Congrats on your followers! You're already above that! 102. :)

I'm excited for your news. I'll keep an eye out over there. :)

True, Lady G, the cropped version doesn't do justice. I'll put the full one on my blog.

I'm glad you dropped by, Nathan. And thanks to Karen and Jessica. You guys are the best!

Congrats on your number of followers, I can't imagine the day I might have that many. "Geez."

Flip Flops are the best shoes, I wear them all year but you can do that in the south.

I looked forward to the contest. Happy Blogging.

Your day will come, Sherry. Your blog is awesome! Lots of great links, like the interview with Jodi Piccoult.

And lucky, lucky, lucky you to wear flip flops every day! I would lose mine in the snow come winter. ;)

Sara, your blog post made me laugh! Fun to read, and congrats on getting your first sex scene written. :D And yes, revisions are a nasty beast to slay. I'm currently fighting hand, tooth, and nail to get through them. So good luck for both of us!

Thanks so much, Mandy. I *heart* you! I'll be posting the genres first thing tomorrow, along with some other info.

And yes, Sara, that view is real. I actually live in that view - my house is in the foothills of the mountains you see there. It's a fun place to live - also a bit crazy! We've seen cougars, bears, a wolverine, and elk. The deer are so tame it's annoying - they eat everything!
