First one is being rewritten from YA fantasy (medieval period) to YA paranormal (contemporary), though it's pretty much a completely new story. Only the characters and a few original scenes remain. It's amazing what happens when I get sidetracked.

Submissions: I've had a number of requests from agents (7) regarding my YA urban fantasy romance, but they all ended in rejection. Love the story idea. Didn't love the voice (chick lit). One agent recently told me that she liked the idea so much, if no one else wanted to rep it, and I was willing to do some serious revisions (i.e. the voice and a few other things), then she'd be happy to reread it. Before she had even got back to me, I had already decided to rewrite it. At least the plot will remain the same. My writer friends really like the new voice alot, so it looks like I'll be extremely busy for a while. Not that I'm complaining. And at least I know what agents to requery once it's done. :0)Stinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11415189347501942340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5018235841365360426.post-57855124399447149242009-05-24T09:16:05.563-06:002009-05-24T09:16:05.563-06:00Wow, what a variety of... well... everything! Oh and I enjoyed your story, The Bone Setter.

My projects (i have lots of these):
Genres - I'm not too good with genres. Mostly fiction, fantasy, some science fiction.

How many books you've written - None! I've only ever finished writing one story before and although I like the idea, it still needs major rewriting.

Have you submitted to agents/publishers? No and I'm not planning to in the near future, since I haven't finished writing anything yet. :)

Anything else I want to share:
I am blogging under the name of one of my characters... I collect all the story ideas I come up with and have a few exercise books full now. Truth is, I am currently writing over half a dozen stories at the same time. Some people would say that I should just concentrate on one at a time, but different stories are for different writing moods, see?

Publishing and stuff isn't on my mind, because I mostly just want to find out what happens in my stories. That's pretty much all I write for - to find out what happens. Generally, if I have worked out the plot to a certain story, I won't be writing on it anymore, because the story in my head is finished. Yeah, I'm a little weird. :D It's cool.Jovannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05527057318505215010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5018235841365360426.post-53017017824775862692009-05-21T12:11:12.281-06:002009-05-21T12:11:12.281-06:00I write paranormal/romance and urban fantasy!
